the doors have it

My house is the typical 90's.
Built with linoleum and light colored oak....everywhere, light colored oak.
I hate light colored oak.
So, if you are anything like me... can't afford to move...Lord knows there would not be a home standing in town that Mr. Miller and I could agree on. He certainly would not be accepting of the old farm house, that needed work, that I would be looking for...oh my, I drifted off course. Anyway, if you are like me WE paint light colored oak.!!
... and I add sign-age

I not only paint, I must distress.

and distress

and add vintage parts

and collect old door knobs

oh yeah, I also paint and distress cabinets!!!

I hope you all had a great weekend. We were busy at the Barn... we had visitors from town but also from Kansas and Nebraska. Everyone was having so much fun.
Christmas is also arriving at the Barn. The fun part is seeing all the new goodies, remembering what each piece is for in my mind even tho. I ordered it last January... the nightmare, however, is how and where to store it all for the next 5 months.
stay tuned~ L
oh yeah....I found 3 more copies of July Jeanne d'Arc

Lori - just love your doors! I envy that your hubby let you paint that icky oak. If only....! Anyway, you did a great job and I love all the distressing. Just popping in from Donna's blog and am happily following you now, too!

Looking forward to more goodies at your store! :) --- and stay cool!

Layer it on. Change it up.

Time for a refresh. Have you ever looked at an area in your house and thought I am done looking at that mess.   Or maybe it's just time...
