business with the grass

I really do have business with the grass... mine is snow covered this morning.
UGH!

This is the weekend for my Festival of Junk.
So far the weather has only spoiled my plans for outdoor vignettes, indoors we are ready for spring and we've been hopping!  Here are a few before photos.

little hand made lovelies by my friend and artist Renee Ellena

the little easter bags are hers too.

new jewels just in
you know I am a VOGUE freak
so I about crapped  you-know-what in my pants when I found these.
more pics later.

this morning ...this is what we woke up to.

Eek!
It would make a great Christmas card... but its April!
Grab your cute boots and scarf and I'll see you at the Barn.
Gotta run. L

outside

We had a couple bright sunny days with a little warmth.
I took full advantage and finally got outside and cleaned up the winter sludge. Although nothing is growing, I tried to bring out some cheer so we can pretend things are growing.

the bright fabric in the trees help add a burst of color, a burst of spring.

my favorite.

I love the pop of blue...
...and the paint cans as pots... and of course the cute brushes

tulips in the drawer

the faux lettuce ...

and a touch of metal

this is the last box and it was looking like rain....
I'll have to add the tulips and paint cans later...
but I like the white flowers

I can't wait to get planting... not this week!

Now we have 3 days of rain and cold coming and then a day of snow and wind.
of course it will rain and snow...
this is the Festival of Junk week and a sunny day would be too much to ask for.

Oh well, a couple of years ago this would have thrown me over the edge.
Not so much anymore...
It is why we buy rain boots and cute scarves. Right?
And us junkers love to dig in the dirt and get out and shop on rainy days.
So rain or shine we moved it all indoors.

Next week we plant!

Bright ~ yellow

Good Morning.
It's Monday and it looks like the bad storms have missed us.
The rain Saturday night was nice....one, It came when I was sleeping and two, it cleaned everything up. This was the first big rain we have had since the snow left.
Mid - April...unbelievable.

I was in the need of a little bit of cheery bright yellow.

Just a splash...here and there

love the pussy willow eggs.
...and the cat.. I don't have to mention how adorable he is

I was also working on freshening up the outside of the Barn, in between storms this weekend.  I hope everything is still in one piece when I get there.  I did remember to snap a few pictures, so I will try and get them up for you soon. ~L

Layer it on. Change it up.

Time for a refresh. Have you ever looked at an area in your house and thought I am done looking at that mess.   Or maybe it's just time...
