greens in a box

I love pulling together the unusual for my vignettes....Yes, even at home, I call the decor "my vignettes."
To me, it's just an easier way to say, I pulled together a bunch of stuff I had laying around that makes a cute arrangement.
It sounds better too... slightly more professional...maybe.

Bella...photo bombed the gathering of goods...

Instead of packing everything up for the winter months, I wanted something fun to look at out the back patio doors.  With this, it's not too close, but not too far away either. I can put out some bird food and watch the birds, and have a festive view during the long winter months.

I love the greens in a box.
So Fun.

I was going to stuff it with color and lights and cones but then I changed my mind. The simple greens in a box IS JUST PERFECT.

and with a little snow covering my Vignette....I am happy as can be.

How cute is this...
now I just have to get the bird food.

I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving and have moved on to your Holiday decor.
I worked at the hospital doing rounds all weekend but I did get to spend Thanksgiving with the family and spent the rest of the weekend eating and shopping.
Now this week I will finish the decorating.

I need my Lists....so much to do.

Coordinate your look

It's getting closer.
That time of year ... time to design the annual Christmas card.
I have always enjoyed designing my Barn greeting cards, this year I did the card for our office.
Team Cardiac Surgery.

First, I gathered a few props.... tools we use during surgery on a daily basis.

Next, some props for the season... some pine and some cones - good and simple ...and then find a good background.

Play around a bit ...
tuck one here - one there...then rearrange 20 more times.
Many, many photos later.
Review and pick your favorite.

this is the one I decided on

black & white added a tiny bit of natural charm

There you have it - the perfect match.

One project done.
Now on to the many others I have lined up this week.

The weather here has been so unexpectedly warm and uneventful.... normally we are buried in snow by now...actually the grass is as green as can be, and some of my plants have started re-sprouting.
All GOOD for me - because I hate doing the outside decorating when it is freezing.

Get your lists going....
Thanksgiving is right around the corner.

Layer it on. Change it up.

Time for a refresh. Have you ever looked at an area in your house and thought I am done looking at that mess.   Or maybe it's just time...
