herb garden

Our herb garden is so fun.

We started lifting up the herbs years ago because of the rabbits.  Now that we have our Miss Bella the rabbits are not a worry, but the displaying of herbs is now a yearly ritual.

Vintage piece I found years ago at Junk Bonanza.

It holds not only my herbs but some fun display add-ons also.

everything is new but will grow soon....

a trio in one pot....

Our favorite...  Basil.... we LoVe it!!

Miss Bella.... she must be tired from chasing the crazy rabbits....

I love growing herbs! I had a rosemary bush that was about 6ft tall and 6ft around. It got so big it fell into the sidewalk and we had to step in the yard to get around it! Last fall I decided to trim it up! :-( You guess it, I killed it! I dug it up the other day and my heart was breaking. It had a stalks as big around as my wrist! Every time you brushed by it with your cloths the sweet smell of rosemary would fill the air! Not sure what I did wrong, but now I'm sorry I trimmed it! Have a great rest of the week!

what a great display. Rosemary is my favorite, I wish it were a perennial here. Love your scales!

I love the little bird peeking out of the pot.

I have a clay bird whose tail is broken, and this would be the perfect solution for him!

Great pool house, I love growing herbs as well. I also had a rosemary bush that was over 6 foot tall and it got frozen one year and dyed off, I try to keep them small and keep them covered up when the winter comes around, they make great wreaths. Have a great day. Hugs Mary

Though I've never grown my own herbs I think they are so beautiful. Thinking I should give it a go:)

My friend handmakes organic skincare products using herbs from her backyard garden ~ they're wonderful! I'm giving away a treasure trove of her products on my blog this month; would love for you to visit and enter:)

Layer it on. Change it up.

Time for a refresh. Have you ever looked at an area in your house and thought I am done looking at that mess.   Or maybe it's just time...
