Vintage bottles

They are flying off the shelves. And why shouldn't they be ~ they are gorgeous! Sometimes the funnest things are the simplest things. I found some funky bottles like these shown, when I went on my summer buying trip down to Kansas and back. I had so many comments on them at my spring home tour that I had to find some for the store. I currently have two styles available and four more on order to arrive any day now.

Too fun!

These funky spoons are from a local artist who thought they would do well at the Barn. What do you think? I love them.

More local art....

Stay tuned. TTFN. L

Not your Grandma's chair anymore

My obsessions seem to change on an almost daily basis. I guess I shouldn't say change, maybe I should say my obsessions grow. Boxes, books, clocks, twigs, sticks... vintage chairs. Oh, I could go on and on. I am so excited to share these great finds with you today. I have recently run across two more chairs to add to my collection here at the Barn. They are both unique in their own way. Tattered and torn and Oh~so~lovely!
Grandma's rocker

love her
Can you not picture her on the front porch...with these magnificent Fall colors.
...and then we have Grand dad's chair...dark leather... worn in just the right places.

Rainy days and Sundays....

Peaceful. Rainy days and Sundays, what a great time to catch up. For me, I am enjoying, for the first time all week, time with my list. Or should I say lists. I have fallen so far behind this week that my lists have lists...sub-lists. Yikes!
So, as I am working fast and furious to check off as many things as possible, I am thinking about snuggling on the couch with one of the new pillows that just came in.
sweater soft and oh so snugly ...and just as I am smiling looking at the word peaceful ~ my pager goes off. Back to reality and work!

A Junkin' good Saturday

What a better way to spend a Saturday morning. Junkin' ! It would have been better only if the sun had been out, the wind had settled down and the temperature would have been higher. For an August 1st Junk-out it was freezing. With all that said and having 4 days behind me.... grab a cup of coffee and look at the fun stuff I found.

This is where the best stuff is found... on the ground in a heap.

Darlene with her find of the day. It was the wheels.

Oh the glory. Books - Books - Books. Love them.

Scored some awesome boxes and drawers.

more wheels...too cute

German license plate
Wait until you see the 10 foot harvest table. It is raw and beautiful. Just the way we like it!

Designer Bags ~ Heidi Comfort

I always look forward to the day the mail carrier delivers the new Heidi Comfort bags.
This latest shipment 6 new bags arrived. They are gorgeous! The softest leather, the coolest hardware and the funkiest look. Everyone will want to know who's bag you are wearing. All 6 have the long cross-body strap, with both rug fringe and leather fringe. WAY COOL! I was so excited I redid the whole handbag section so it is open and fun... happy shopping.

...the cute piece bags also arrived - just in time for back to school

This one I had to grab for myself....

Raw Elements

Busy - busy weekend. Where is the Advil? My legs and back are killing me. Too much junkin' and too many times up and down on the ladder at the Barn. While I'm sorting through those pictures, I grabbed a few spare minutes to get this post out to you before my fabulous Raw Elements are sold out. Check out these table runner / rugs. Heavy duty. 3 different prints. Awesome.

style 1 shown on a table

style 2 on the wall so you can see the size.... I put mine on the end of my bed. It graciously covers my large white comforter. To my hubby's chagrin...."one more thing to take off of the bed."

style 3...one of them had to have a number!

I hope you all have a relaxing Sunday evening with your families and a productive upcoming week. I for one, have a large list....oh boy. L

Layer it on. Change it up.

Time for a refresh. Have you ever looked at an area in your house and thought I am done looking at that mess.   Or maybe it's just time...
