love this color

I love LoVe LOVE this color.

These pears are so FUN... I want them to march down the center of my table in the kitchen.  Nothing else, just the pears.... I have been waiting since January for them to arrive.  We also have bud vases and votive holders in this color
.... but the pears!!!

I finally made it out of town on a Junkin trip.

It was so much fun!

Now all I need is some sunshine.

Check out the fun chest.
I think it would make a perfect bedside table...

Look at the top drawer...it is a rusty old pan... Love it!
The whole thing is rough which makes it absolutely beautiful.

I don't part with the baby shoes very often...
this is it... one pair... while they last.

I have to show you this fun vintage stool / planter...

my friend, Jane, planted the top.
 The Ivy smells so good.

farm equipment

It is slowly coming.
Spring.
More and More people are wandering into the Barn without a coat.  Occasionally, I am seeing the flip-flops... and twice I have seen shorts.  In Minnesota once we reach 40 degrees, any thing goes.
I am still waiting for 60 but seeing the sun sure is nice.

I am happy to see that the galvanized metals are still hot this year.

Enjoy your weekend.
Eat. Drink. Relax.

the books are here

Don't you love books.
I go to market in Atlanta every year with my sister and our favorite stop is the book shop.  They have a fabulous couch, waiting for your tired ass to sit down, fresh coffee to get you jazzed, AND the new books.

Here are the first to come...more are on the way in April.

a glimpse of Vintage French Interiors

from Creating the French Look
This book is fun because it gives tutorials on painting furniture and walls and other fun projects to give your home that much desired French look.

Fun books for the Garden lover

and for those who collect cook books...
Apples for Jam by Tessa Kiros
a must have...

loaded with fun vintage photos and stories

and last but not least....

I am taking my son to the oral surgeon today to get his wisdom teeth extracted.
ouch!
For me, it means an hour and a half on the couch in the waiting room.
Down time.
I am bringing my stack of books...

Layer it on. Change it up.

Time for a refresh. Have you ever looked at an area in your house and thought I am done looking at that mess.   Or maybe it's just time...
