I'm dreaming of a White Christmas... as in White ironstone. Soup tureens, teapots, gravy boats, thick platters and graceful pitchers evermore.....
I admit this White Ironstone obsession to be a weakness. When I am out buying for the store white dishware, any size or shape, is the first thing to catch my eye. I immediately think, this will look great in my new vignette at the shop, but when I get home .... somehow my thoughts change to how well it looks in my kitchen.... As I said, White dishware... of any kind.... is my weakness. I have many goals for my shop this upcoming year.... sharing my love of the white ironstone with you is one of them.... Stay tuned, in all shapes and sizes it will grace my tables at the Barn as it does my tables at home.
white....white....white...
Sorry, I had more great pictures, but in all the Christmas excitement my camera is MIA.
I hope you all are enjoying friends and family and Having the best Christmas ever !

I, too, believe that Ironstone is absolutely addictive! I especially love to gather the big bowls from wash stand sets to just fill.....with vintage lace, with wooden blocks, with aged tinsel, etc.
Thanks for all your inspiration. I have been to your wonderful store once (this fall) - but will get there again soon!!

Kari,
I just found 2 tea pots, a small milk pitcher and a large bowl. The bowl looks to be a reproduction, but I love it just the same. I am unable to post a picture.... camera is still missing in action ...guess who is going shopping soon.
