sparkle and tarnish

I am going GA-GA over this photo.
LOVE IT
Wouldn't it catch your eye if you were thumbing through a magazine or a design book. It would stop me in my tracks and I would make that sucking in-of-air noise... and then I would BUY the magazine.
That is my next goal.
I want to see my work in print.
Even if it is just a small mention... well, a feature would be better.... but...
who knows.... some day

this area in my kitchen hugs the opposite side of the Big Dog Fridge
Another favorite spot to vignette.
Not a lot of function needed for this counter top so I can have fun.

a little bit of sparkle and a whole lot of tarnish

love the reflection upon reflection in this shot

too fun

I take a ton of photos thinking I will only post a few of my favorites, but I can't weed them down. I fall in love with all of them. So I apologize if I go overboard....

At the home tour many of my guests stood in front of this counter for a long time.
Just Gazing...

The crowns just became available at the store last week.
Of course I had to have one.... if I remember right, I ordered them just for me... but I order everything at the store "just for me"

I hope all of your homes are decorated for the season so you can enjoy family and friends. For me, I must start shopping and come up with a fun gift wrapping theme. I have already had customers tell me they are waiting to see what I do before they buy their wrappings.... boy, the pressure is on. I can't wait to show you the table top and the trees - next couple posts.
Cheers, Lori

Silver and gold, silver and gold. I don’t know why I am reminded of Rudolph….sort of crazy, huh?

Your photos and styling are so gorgeous they should be in a magazine or two for everyone to enjoy:) These are exceptionally beautiful today. You can go overboard with pictures anytime in my book:)

Ummmmm, you mean these photos are not in a book or magazine?!?! Drats and I was going to run out and buy it! Seriously, as everyone else has noted, your photos are exceptional and well worth the ink to print them for publication. Just my humble opinion but it would seem I am in good company....

Great photos...and loved your house on the tour! In the background of one photo was that a print of silverware or what?

Thanks for the Love - you guys are SOOO sweet.

The little dipping bowls with the clock faces are from Potterybarn. Super cute!!

and about the magazine, if you can't get it done...do it yourself, that's what grandma Lois would say.

Layer it on. Change it up.

Time for a refresh. Have you ever looked at an area in your house and thought I am done looking at that mess.   Or maybe it's just time...
