the Barn ...revised

Hello. Good morning. Thanks for stopping by.

Part of the fun of doing a show (Junk Bonanza) is the fact you get to RE- Vignette your booth twice a day. There is something about using the same props but inventing a whole new look in a matter of minutes. I had so much fun that I came back to the Barn and re-invented a whole new room.

AND

I LOVE IT

Let me show you.....

I started with hanging this fabulous map... don't ask how I got it up by myself.

And then I built this bookshelf wall with parts and scraps and boxes that I could scrounge up...

Again, don't ask how I managed this by myself.

When there is a will THERE is A WAY.

Fabulous.

A place for my treasures... my books.

There is something about the printed page.

I prefer a book to the computer.... any day.

There are so many talented people out there...

part of the Yard Sale ... in a Barn promotion

that we are doing now includes the books.

Let me tell you, everyone loves when the books are on sale !!!

We have something for everyone, but I only buy the books I like.... as you can see, I like a LOT.

... and this is only half of the titles.

I have piles of books scattered throughout the Barn.

Mixed in all kinds of vignettes.

I hope you enjoyed a look at my new space...

It's the first place I go with my cup of coffee when I land at the Barn every day.

To the back... my refreshed space.

I stand and drink it in.

Love the Barn.

See you soon.

Remember.... sale continues until Tuesday.

chirp - they are singing - time for a road trip

They are singing.

We love the birds. We notice, in the spring, when they return and start to sing.

Maybe it's because most leave for the winter OR because we are shut up in our homes, with windows tightly closed.

One thing for sure, in Minnesota, we love when the birds return.

befriend a flock... feed the birds

and when the green comes up in our gardens....

smile. Smile. happy. Happy.

I mentioned earlier that we are planning an event.

The first event this year at the BaRN.

Yippee

and it's a store-wide SaLE

.... everyone loves That.

In fact, they line up for a store-wide SaLE.

I think it is time for a road trip !!!

chickens and lavender and Jeanne d'Arc Living

Hello sunshine !!!

We had the Best weekend.

Out in the sun... cleaning out gardens...doing lawn work.

Funny how after the longest winter ever, lawn work is enjoyable.

It's crazy how this is the end of April.

I feel like we are waking after a long winters nap.

I have recovered from my Junk Market event. Actually, It wasn't bad at all, normally I am pooped for a week. This week I have been energized and have redone half the Barn.

Pictures soon....

The Barn is bustling with activity....Thank god. Things have been slow...

Finally, everyone wants to refresh their space... me too.

I've been cleaning at home and bringing in some spring HAPPINESS at my house too.
