It was a sad day yesterday because I was not at junk bonanza, with my friends, setting up my space.  Today is the first day of the sale, and I am not there for that either. ... another sad day.

I think it is the beak.... it reminds me of my dog, Bella's, long thin nose.

Big furniture pieces moving out today....Oh boy, I didn't plan on re-vignetting this early in the week.  It makes me sad to see my cement top table leave....as I've always said, I should not be in this business, I never want my stuff to go.

More ghouls, ghosts and spiders.

Even if you don't do a lot of spooky decorating at home, some do a ton, so I aim to please.  I love doing the Halloween buying when I go to market AND I really get excited about vignetting the Barn this time of year.

Believe it or not, we will sell all of this funky Halloween decor over the next 4 weeks. 

I know my pictures don't do the Barn justice, but I'll try to give you an idea.

Halloween- it's all about the treat

I love Sunday mornings when I am home with my coffee and my computer.

Sitting in my comfy sweats.... yellow, cut-offs from one of my boys... washed too many times so they are super soft... love them.

Home alone... peace and quiet...if you didn't factor in Bella...big, bad guard dog... who needs to go out every 5 minutes, and wants to come in every 10!!  And thinks she should have a treat upon entering - it's all about the treats !  Right now she is out back, eyeing every garden in site, trying to decide where to bury the sock she has swiped from my son's bedroom.   I am going to look the other way and get back to this....

Halloween has entered the Barn.

I do a BIG Halloween at the Barn.

Guests start asking when Halloween is coming out in July !!

I try and have it out by the end of August, but this year I had a few things come up...

 BUT it is out, it is GRAND and it is going to take me a week or more to show you!!!

loads of masks... I don't think the gloves made it into the photos but the are Divine... pearls and feathers AND oh so sexy.... I think they could be used for other things..wink! not just the parties!

Fall.

I can hardly say the word it has been so UN - FALL like here.

I am so done with Hot.

I want it to be cool.

The rest of the week it is supposed to cool down.

I am trying to set up Halloween at the Barn... almost done.

But it gets to be long evenings when it is 100 + degrees in there.

So for now you get to enjoy more fall-ish goodies!

harvest colors

Back to a little love at the Barn.

Fall harvest colors are so refreshing...so alive.

I love the colors of Fall.

Up in Minnesota the trees are changing color.  Bursts of reds and yellows and oranges ARE everywhere you look.  I even bought my first Fall new shirt...one of many I am sure... but it is a mustardy-chartreuse colored thermal.... I can't wait to wear it!!!! 

I bought it at my favorite local boutique JENSON'S located in Anoka.

what do you do with a Santos hand....

A local guest brought her friend in to the Barn the other day.  She was visiting from Nevada and had not been to the Barn before.  It was so much fun listening to them walk the sales floor... the excitement and the comments made my heart about burst.  She claimed it was the best shop she had ever been in and when she came back to Minnesota it would be the first stop !!!
